Lance Fielder

I started in public practice in June 2005. Upon completing my degree at Waikato Uni, I moved to Auckland to work for Deloitte, where I spent 4 years in their audit team.
Since moving to Te Awamutu I have married a local TA girl, Haley and we now have three children, Annabelle, Max and Fletcher, who take up most of our spare time. I am a spectator of rugby and an active member of touch rugby, cycling, squash and indoor netball. I enjoy community involvement and am currently on the board of the Te Awamutu Rugby Sports & Recreation Club Inc.

Prior to joining the GFA team I worked in Rural Banking for 6 ½ years, in both Northland and in Te Awamutu.
In 2013 I completed a BAgCom (Farm Management & Rural Valuation) at Massey University, and in 2017 completed a PGDip Business also at Massey.
Currently I am working through my C.A qualifications.
Outside of work I operate a small farming business growing maize and trading livestock. However, with the rest of my spare time I try and spend it in the hills, hunting.

I originally started working for Merv and Sue in 1996. After a short break I returned to work with Merv and Lance in 2013 as Administration Manager with a bit of accounting in the mix. I am now Business Manager at gfa Chartered Accountants and am loving the change of role and am loving working with the amazing team that we have.
I grew up in Pirongia and moved to Hamilton in 2000. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my partner, children and family and I am kept busy with kids sports and activities, playing netball, catching up with friends and a little bit of travelling now and then.

I started working with Merv and Lance in November 2010.
In 1995 I completed a Bachelor of Management Studies Degree at Waikato University. After completing my degree I worked for a rural Chartered Accounting firm in Matamata for 15 years. I grew up and still live on a dairy farm in Cambridge. I enjoy walking and netball and spending time with friends and family. I have a daughter Shayla, who is very involved in the horse riding sport of Mounted Games. I spend a lot of time outside of work involved in the administration of this sport in NZ.

I have been working with Merv and Lance since March 2008 after working 14 years at a CA firm in Browns Bay. I have 30 years experience in Chartered Accounting and do monthly reporting, GST and annual accounting work.
I have two adult children, a daughter in Waiuku and a son in Cambridge and I have four grandchildren.
I have lived in Cambridge since 2008 and have recently got a poodle puppy which is taking up most of my spare time at the moment. I enjoy cross stitching, knitting, other forms of embroidery and reading.
Sandra Hancock

I have been working with Merv& Lance since September 2015. A combined 16 years of experience after working in three other accounting practices in Te Awamutu and Otorohanga.
I grew up on a dry stock farm at Otewa near Otorohanga, completed a Bachelor of Management Studies degree at Waikato University and became a Chartered Accountant in 2018.
My husband Shane and I live at Pukeatua on a dairy grazing support farm. Outside of work we have many interests, including running our own small flock of sheep, travelling and spending time with family & friends.

I started working with Merv, Lance and the Team in July 2014, taking up a trainee accounting role. I am looking forward to the new challenges and learning from such an experienced team.
Previously I worked for three years at a local chartered accountancy firm in a clerical role.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing netball and travelling.

I started at gfa in May 2019, looking for a new challenge and had previously worked at another local accounting firm for 13 years.
I am married with three children and I love spending time with family and friends. In the summer months we are busy with speedway as both our sons’ race. We also love being sideline at the netball court and rugby field supporting the kids.

I started working with Merv& Lance in October 2021. I previously worked for another accounting firm in Te Awamutu where I started out in Client Service’s and later transitioned to an accounting role.
I moved to Te Awamutu when I was ten years old, have two children with my husband Ben and love going for walks around Lake Ngaroto.
I am looking forward to the challenges ahead, learning new things, and working with the great team we have at gfa.

I started working with Merv and Lance in June 2005 when I moved from Rotorua to Te Awamutu.
I run our Payroll Bureau and Administration Service, do PAYE & GST preparation and filing for our clients, provide assistance with employment related matters. I am a trained and approved Business Partner for MYOB EXO Employer Software and I am also XERO certified.
My spare time is taken up by my husband and our two children, Dylan and Olivia.

I started working for Lance and Merv in October 2021 joining the administration team and I am loving the new challenge. I grew up in Morrinsville and moved to Te Awamutu in 2019. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my husband, family, and friends.
Sarah Beeson

I started working for Lance and Merv in June 2016 and joined their Administration Team. My role covers a variety of Administration Duties —mainly processing GST Returns and Companies Office administration.
I grew up on a livestock farm in the Waikato. I have travelled around Europe then settled in Te Awamutu with my husband and our two children. Outside of work I enjoy catching up with family and friends. My family and I have many outdoor interests like spending time at our family farm, hunting and fishing, motorbikes, beach time just to name a few!

Also known as Ange, I joined gfa at the end of May 2021 after a varied work history of Dairy Industry Research and Development, Raw Baking and Environmental Microbiology to name a few. At gfa I set up the new clients in our system, provide general admin support to the accounting team and cover reception on Wednesdays. Outside of work I have two children, enjoy going to the group fitness classes at the gym and eat too much cheese and chocolate.
